Welcome to Energy Matters NI Ltd. We are a Lisburn based company that can provide Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) for domestic and commercial properties, and Display Energy Certificates (DEC) for public and commercial properties at very competitive rates.
Domestic
If you are selling your house after the 30th June 2008, you will need to provide an EPC to any prospective buyer; certificates can only be produced by accredited energy assessors.
An EPC will be needed for new buildings from the 30th of September 2008. If you rent out property after the 30th of December 2008, you will need to provide the prospective tenant with an EPC.

Multiple Housing- We specialise in producing Energy Performance Certificates for multiple housing. We can cover anywhere in Northern Ireland for sites with at least 10 houses. For single dwellings we can cover most areas of Northern Ireland.
Commercial
If you are selling or letting your building after the 1st January 2009, you will need to provide an EPC to any prospective buyer or letter; certificates can only be produced by accredited energy assessors.
The requirement to obtain and display a DEC came into effect on 30th December 2008.
Where a building is partly occupied by a public authority or a relevant institution, the authority or institution is responsible for displaying a DEC and having a valid advisory report. Other private organisations occupying the building, irrespective of the size they occupy, do not need to display a DEC.
Please note - site based DECS are not acceptable in Northern Ireland.
